January 14, 2020
The Village board of Trustees met in a special session on January 14, 2020 at 8 am in the auditorium. Notice of this meeting was given in advance by posting in three designated places and advance notification of the trustees by delivery. Roll call was answered by Trustees Olson, Baack, Ohlsen and Swanson with Powell arriving after roll was called at 8:10 am. Also present was Rita Maier.
The Open Meeting Act is located on the entry wall.
The agenda was approved by motion from Swanson and seconded by Baack. RCV: all ayes (4)
Swanson moved and Ohlsen seconded to end Executive Session at 8:01 am. RCV: all ayes
Swanson moved and Powell seconded to end Executive Session at 9:39 am. RCV: all ayes
The special session meeting was then opened to the public. Present were Sandi Swanson, Karen Rodgers, Jody Wiemer, Don Rut and Rita Maier.
Public Comments: Iona Dierberger reported she would like to plan a retirement party for Joyce Schriner March 15, 2020. She suggested an open house from 2 – 4 at the Senior Center. This will be on the next meeting agenda.
Jody Wiemer from the Aging Commission Board presented the trustees with copies of the application for Bonnie Meints who they would like to hire as the new Senior Center Manager. They will offer her $14.00 per hour with an evaluation in 90 days. Swanson moved and Baack seconded to allow the Aging Commission Board to hir Bonnie Meints as the new Senior Center Manager. Swanson moved and Ohlsen seconded to designate the clerk, Rita Maier, as administrator of the Mass Mutual account. RCV: all ayes
Swanson moved and Powell seconded to pay all expenses, registration fee, lodging, meals and wages for the clerk, Rita Maier, to attend the Nebraska Municipal Clerks school in March. RCV: all ayes.
Swanson moved and Baack seconded to adjourn the meeting at 9:55 am. RCV: all ayes.
