Emergency Meeting – September 17, 2019
The Village Board of Trustees met in emergency session at 1:00P.M. in the Auditorium. Notice of this meeting was given by posting in the tree designated places, and advance notification of the trustees by email. Trustees present were Olson, Baack, Ohlsen, and Powell. Also, present Ruth Olson, Gail Dishman, Joyce Schriner, Dewayne Wraggie, Brian Jueneman, and Natalie Wiemer.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. The Open Meeting Act is posted in the entryway.
The Agenda was approved on a motion by Ohlsen and seconded by Powell. RCV: all ayes
Dewayne and Brian both spoke about the 1st street project. All the parking will be the same as it was before the project started. The north half will be poured on Wednesday. The gap will be filled in on Thursday, and the sidewalk will be finished on Friday. The electrician started his work as of Tuesday.
Chairman Olson stated that to do the rest of 1st street it would be about $52,500. Olson also talked about the Village could apply for a donation from the Utica Foundation for $30,000. The Village would then have to pay $22,500 themselves.
Baack then made a motion to apply for donation from the Utica Foundation to finish the rest of first street from D – E street. This motion then was seconded by Powell. Baack, Powell, and Olson- Ayes. Ohlsen- No.
The Meeting was Adjourned at 1:50 by Ohlsen and seconded by Baack. RCV: all ayes.
